More from The Palmetto Portrait Project

It’s been a very busy two months since my last entry, and in that time I’ve finished several more personalities along with a slew of other work.

The best part of this project are people themselves, some are complex, some are powerful and some seem like old friends.  What’s especially nice is the moment the camera and my eye become one and that very special something happens.

Awesome portrait of Drink!!! I grew up to his music. First person I ever saw play a guitar using the mike stand as a slide. We would hire him to play at an abandoned shotgun house on a friends fishing pond out the Sumter Highway. The Chateau, as it was called, had only lights, old bath tubs to hold beer and a wood stove. Drink would play all night for $25.00 in early 60’s. My favorite was “Alberta”.
